Novelist John Irving will talk with Seattle Times book critic Mary Ann Gwinn and sign books (his most recent is Last Night in Twisted River) at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. I don’t know when the last time John Irving was in town or the next time he will be here. He should be seen, I think, kind of like relics of a lost imperial age or the Mask of Tutankhamen. Irving is an example of vanishing type of popular and yet fairly “serious” novelist.
