Born in California, and raised in Maryland & Florida, some of his fondest food memories are of iconic American dishes: fried chicken, spareribs, burgers, milkshakes, cherry pie and coconut cake. He has collected over 200 of his favorite casual recipes (done Thomas Keller style) and collected them in his new book, Ad Hoc at Home. On this one night we’ll get to sit down with Thomas for a family style dinner (but without the family bickering, perhaps). The University Book Store is the largest bookstore in Washington state. It is one of few college bookstores organized as an independent, tax paying corporation with direct student involvement in management oversight. The Elliott Bay Book Company is Seattle's leading independent bookstore and hosts an incredible reading series. Elliott Bay moved from it's location in Seattle's Pioneer Square (a historic district that is known as the source of the term "Skid Road") in April 2010.
